Chris Whall

Chris is Managing Director of Air Quality Consultants.  He joined the company in 2016 with 18 years’ experience in environmental consultancy. Prior to joining Air Quality Consultants, he was the Environmental Assessment Director at Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure UK Ltd, with responsibility for a Business Unit of almost 200 consultancy staff. Chris was also the company’s European practice leader for Air Quality Assessment and maintained a day-to-day technical role in leading the air quality team.

Chris has a background in air quality and emissions management, emissions quantification and impact assessment, particularly in relation to major infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally, including airports, power stations, mining and other major development and regeneration schemes. Most recently, Chris led the air quality assessment to support the ending of the Cranford Agreement at Heathrow Airport, appearing as an Expert Witness on behalf of Heathrow Airport Limited at the Public Inquiry in 2015. For several years Chris has been working with Heathrow Airport Limited in the development of its masterplan for a third runway and he led Heathrow’s air quality submissions to the Airports Commission.
