Ben is the Director of Air Quality Modelling & Assessment with AQC and has worked for the company since 2003. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the field of air quality and has been responsible for air quality and greenhouse gas assessments of road schemes, rail schemes, airports, power stations, waste incinerators, commercial developments and residential developments in the UK and abroad. He has specific experience in the application of detailed dispersion models and has contributed to the development of modelling best practices. He has provided public inquiry expert witness services, as well as support and advice to Defra, the Highways Agency, the Environment Agency, Transport Scotland, Transport for London, and numerous local authorities. Ben is a member of Defra’s Network of Evidence Experts and of its Air Quality Expert Group.

Air quality and greenhouse gas support for planning application and discharge of conditions
Air Quality Consultants Ltd. formed part of the project team, led by Pegasus Planning Group, which achieved planning approval from South Gloucestershire Council in 2012 for a new 21,700 seat stadium.
Air Quality Consultants undertook the air quality assessment for a large mixed use scheme, covering construction and operational impacts. Input to the emerging scheme design was provided throughout the process.
Air Quality Consultants carried out the air quality assessment in support of the City Airport Development Programme. This included providing expert evidence at the public inquiry. Air Quality Consultants is currently undertaking construction dust monitoring.
