Guidance on monitoring construction sites

18-12-2012

The Institute of Air Quality Management has issued Guidance on Air Quality Monitoring in the Vicinity of Demolition and Construction Sites.

This focusses on monitoring of dust and airborne particulate matter (PM), with the monitoring tailored to the risks of adverse impacts.

The working group that prepared this guidance was led by Steve Moorcroft of Air Quality Consultants Ltd.  The guidance will help developers and consultants propose monitoring that suits the needs of a particular project.  It will also help the regulatory authority know what to look for when it receives proposals for monitoring of demolition and construction sites.
