Continued Growth

10-09-2012

2012 has been Air Quality Consultants’ busiest year since the company was founded in 1993 (yes - Air Quality Consultants will be 20 next year!).

Records have been broken for the sheer number of projects completed, with a substantial volume of repeat business generated. As a result, two new consultants have been employed to help manage the additional workload, growing staff numbers from 13 to 15.

This now makes Air Quality Consultants one of the largest air quality consultancy groups in the UK. The Company continues to provide independent, expert advice and assessments covering all ambient air quality issues to both private and public sector clients, both within the UK and internationally, as well as offering a full range of services focussed on air pollution policy, guidance development and research.

New staff members include:

Bob Thomas - who joined in February, previously having worked for Peter Brett Associates where he carried out assessments for new residential and commercial developments. Bob has extensive modelling and monitoring experience and has carried out odour assessments.

Caroline Murrell - who has just spent 2 years in Montserrat where she reviewed the air quality monitoring being carried out to measure exposure to emissions from the volcanic activity on the island. Caroline previously worked with Peter Brett Associates, and joined the Company in June.

Ricky Gellatly - who joined in August, having previously worked with OdourNet. He is experienced in odour sampling and assessment. Ricky has a background in Meteorology and Oceanography and currently works on a variety of projects involving monitoring, modelling and assessment.

Austin Cogan has just completed a PhD looking at the atmospheric burden of carbon dioxide using satellite data. He joined the company in June and currently works on a range of projects involving modelling and assessment. Austin also helps develop computer tools.
